The units are cast into the precast stair or landing, and all that is required in the wall is a recess. During
erection the inner tube is retracted into the unit, to be pushed out into the recess when the precast element
is in the correct position. A rubber pad at the support in the wall is available in order to reduce the impact
sound transfer from the stairs to the walls.
