Did you Know… Livingston Plants Memory Trees Livingston Hospice is a participating sponsor of the Los Padres National Forest Penny Pines Reforestation program. This conservation program began in the early 1960’s and has been meeting the ongoing need of restoring devastated areas of this magnificent national forest. Each year, Livingston purchases 2 acres of seedlings which will eventually produce approximately 400 trees. These will not be just ordinary trees, for each seedling has been planted in memory of one of our beloved hospice patients. The bereaved family receives a card with local artist Susan Florence’s beautiful forest artwork along with the inscription, “A tree has been planted in the Los Padres National Forest in memory of ...” The Penny Pines Reforestation Program plays a vital role both in renewing the national forests in Trustworthy • reliable • Skillful • compassionate We are pleased to present Livingston CareGivers! Sustainer Giving Feel Great Every Month What if every month was an incredible month—a month when you felt meaning and purpose? That’s how Livingston’s Sustainer Donors feel. Every month they support Livingston’s mission with a modest amount. In return, they can be confident that crucial home health and medical hospice care for the sick, handicapped, elderly and homebound residents of Ventura County are being provided regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. The gifts help deliver vital home healthcare where and when it is needed most. Contributions are deducted on or around the 10th of every month from your MasterCard or Visa credit card. Sustainer giving has been a staple of European philanthropy for many years and now more and more U.S. donors are adopting the practice. Many people find it’s easier to give a smaller monthly gift than a single large gift at the end of the year. Once you sign up the rest is automatic. If you want to make a change to your giving plan just call us. If the ease and convenience of monthly giving sounds like it would work for you, return the enclosed envelope with the recurring gift box checked or you can set up your sustainer gift online at livingstonvna.org.
