ristine W. has got that staying power. A<br />
force in the Dance scene since the 90s,<br />
she’s broken records and topped charts (15<br />
imes to be exact). Now, she’s bringing a brand<br />
ew ensemble for the Boston Pride crowds and<br />
sn’t stopping there…<br />
. I was so glad to hear you’d be joining us at<br />
oston Pride! What do you have in store for<br />
s?<br />
. I’m so happy to be coming back to Boston to<br />
lay Pride! It has been a long time since I played<br />
ride in Boston and it will be so fun to be back. I<br />
ill be bringing my two key Vegas dancers, Jeff<br />
nd Shawn, and we have put together something<br />
ew for the Pride shows this summer. It’s a new<br />
edley of my hits (and I’ve had a bunch of hits<br />
ince I last played Boston). We have new, cool<br />
ostumes designed in a joint venture with Brian<br />
avid and Jeff Debarathy, who is also one of<br />
y dancers and is now styling music videos for<br />
ifferent artists. Brian and Jeff did some creative<br />
ostuming. I would call it a combination of<br />
unk-Prom and Theatre.<br />
. You have what, 15 #1 Billboard Dance Hits<br />
nder your belt? Dare I say, reigning queen of<br />
he dance floor, what do you love about your<br />
udiences/fans?<br />
. I love the fact that my fans always keep<br />
n touch and write inspiring emails to me<br />
hat totally brighten my day. They are like my<br />
xtended family and they encourage me to keep<br />
oving forward with my musical ventures. It’s<br />

been very important, especially<br />
in the last 2 years when I was<br />
starting my own label. The<br />
process has been very scary for<br />
me, especially with the economic<br />
drama so I’ve really leaned on<br />
them for input.<br />
Q. After learning much about<br />
you from your website, www.<br />
kristinew.com, it seems you<br />
have a handful of passions. Tell<br />
us what it takes to tug at your<br />
heart strings.<br />
A. I started “The Inner Circle”<br />
blog which will soon be called,<br />
“Kristine Cares” because so<br />
many of my fans have the same<br />
opinions and feelings about<br />
protecting the planet and animals.<br />
It’s so important to be vocal about<br />
the issues that affect us so deeply.<br />
It’s also nice to know you’re not<br />
the only person totally freaking<br />
out over the oil spill or the abuse<br />
of animals worldwide. We must<br />
stay connected…that’s where our<br />
power to change things lies.<br />
Q. Why do you think you have<br />
such a strong presence in the gay<br />
community and what does that<br />
mean to you?<br />
A. I think I have always embraced<br />
the love that has been shown to me by the<br />
