The project committee is<br />

delighted to report that<br />

excellent progress is being<br />

made with the new Butterflies<br />

of the West Midlands book.<br />

The Species Champion idea has been<br />

well received and with over 35 sponsors<br />

the target of £4,000 has been achieved.<br />

Any funds in excess of the £4,000 will be used<br />

as a contingency in the event of any increase in<br />

the production costs and to enhance the quality<br />

of the book. Many thanks indeed to all who<br />

have become Species Champions.<br />

The contents of the book are also taking shape with<br />

Mike Williams having found authors for all the<br />

species and writing is underway!<br />

The book will also include chapters on “Gardening<br />
