Cape Mollini Takes Flight<br />

Cape Mollini, a 221.62m x 29.80m x 16.40m vessel, docked at <strong>Jurong</strong><br />

<strong>Shipyard</strong> in April 2011 for a series of repairs and maintenance.<br />

The yard’s repair specialists commenced hatch repairs, steel works as well as other machinery<br />

and electrical jobs on the 2742 TEU vessel owned by MARTIME – Gesellschaft fur maritime.<br />

Before leaving the yard in <strong>May</strong>, the hull of the containership was blasted and painted to refresh<br />

her appearance.<br />

Cruising in Style<br />

Santa Cruz, a 3115 TEU container<br />

carrier owned by Zodiac Maritime<br />

Agencies <strong>Ltd</strong>, departed <strong>Jurong</strong><br />

<strong>Shipyard</strong> in <strong>May</strong> 2011 after her<br />

recharge at the yard.<br />

Major work performed on the 251.50m<br />

x 32.20m x 21.20m vessel included bow<br />

thruster overhaul, tail shaft withdrawal, steel<br />

renewal works as well as repairs on the rudder<br />

and hatch covers. After having her hull fully<br />

blasted and painted, Santa Cruz set off for her<br />

next assignment.<br />

Welcoming Bernhard Sibum<br />

Owned by Reederei Bernd Sibum GmbH & Co. KG, Bernhard Sibum<br />

completed a series of successful repair jobs before departing in<br />

<strong>May</strong> 2011.<br />

Measuring 139.15m x 22.60m x<br />

11.80m, the containership was in<br />

the yard for cell guides repair, steel<br />

maintenance works, cleaning of air<br />

coolers as well as renewal of engine<br />

pipes. In addition, the 957 TEU vessel<br />

underwent load testing, overhaul of<br />

valves and polishing before blasting<br />

The Hermes Makeover<br />

<strong>Jurong</strong> <strong>Shipyard</strong> warmly welcomed Hermes, a 212.20m x<br />

29.80m x 16.67m containership, when it called on the<br />

yard for a scheduled stopover in April 2011.<br />

Major jobs performed on the 2496 TEU vessel, owned by KG PROJEX-<br />

Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co, included steel repairs on tanks,<br />

maintenance on hull anodes and cranes, overhaul of the bow thruster and<br />

valves as well as routine cleaning and polishing. Before departing in <strong>May</strong>,<br />

Hermes received blasting on the hull and a fresh coat of paint.<br />
