<strong>PPP</strong> call topics for Horizon2020 work programme 2016/17:<br />
Community exercise finalized- nearly 500 attendees at the<br />
workshops, more than 2500 members consulted.<br />
Strategy development for <strong>Photonics</strong> <strong>PPP</strong> calls is a community<br />
exercise. In <strong>2014</strong> the 7 <strong><strong>Photonics</strong>21</strong> work groups discussed and<br />
defined photonics research and innovation priorities for the Horizon<br />
2020 work programme 2016/2017.<br />

<strong>Photonics</strong> 20<strong>15</strong> calls: 126 proposals received – evaluation<br />
results in September<br />
126 proposals have been received on the ICT-27 <strong>Photonics</strong> KET & -<br />
ICT-28 call. Among the proposals the <strong><strong>Photonics</strong>21</strong> Mirror Group,<br />
consisting of public funding authorities from member states and<br />
regions, initiated an ERA-NET+ proposal on Sensing. The evaluation<br />
of proposals by the European Commission will take place in June.<br />
The results of the evaluation will be circulated in September 20<strong>15</strong>.<br />
The workshop outcomes and presentations were made publicly<br />
available in the <strong><strong>Photonics</strong>21</strong> member area and were circulated to all<br />
platform members for consultation. The further prirority process<br />
was further continued during follow-up workshops in summer <strong>2014</strong><br />
- organised by the <strong><strong>Photonics</strong>21</strong> secretariat. More than 462<br />
workshop participants attended the process before the call topic<br />
proposals were prioritized by the Board of Stakeholders.<br />
