She has even tasted many failures however she has
never looked back and she strongly believed that
there’s nothing much to do with the past. Then came
Fashion in 2008 which marked a significant turning
point in her career. She later gained recognition for
her versatility in portraying a range of unconventional
characters, including a feisty Marathi woman in the
2009 caper thriller Kaminey, a serial killer in the 2011
movie 7 Khoon Maaf, an autistic woman in the 2012
romantic comedy Barfi!, and a boxer in the 2014
biographical sports drama Mary Kom. She has proved
her acting skills and signed different movies making
her touching all the genres available.
She is currently shooting for Bajirao Mastani in the
direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and this big budget
entertainer also features Ranveer Singh and Deepika
Padukone in the main leads. Her latest movie Dil
Dhadakne Do in the direction of Zoya Akthar is getting
ready for release in June. In addition, she will star as
a police in Prakash Jha’s Gangaajal 2, a sequel to the
2003 political thriller Gangaajal, and she will feature
alongside Fawad Khan in Reema Kagti’s romance
Mr Chaloo. Priyanka recently made her American
television debut on ABC’s Quantico; Chopra became
the first Indian to be cast as a lead role in American
television series.

titled Thamizhan in 2002. The
following year, she starred in
The Hero, her first Hindi film
release, and followed it with
the box-office hits Andaaz and
Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. She
subsequently earned wide
critical praise for the role of a
seductress in the 2004 thriller
Aitraaz.
In addition to acting in films, she participates in stage
shows, has hosted the third season of Fear Factor:
Khatron Ke Khiladi, and has written columns for
newspapers. She released her first single “In My City”
in 2012. Her second single “Exotic” debuted in 2013,
and charted in countries such as the United States
and Canada. Chopra is noted for her philanthropic
activities, and was appointed as a UNICEF Goodwill
Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010. She promotes
various causes such as environment, girls education,
women empowerment and women’s rights, and is
particularly vocal about women’s issues, including
safety, and gender equality. Though she is reticent to
discuss her personal life in public, her off-screen life is
the subject of substantial media coverage in India.
