Competent to Minister

All believers are competent to minister to one
another in the Body of Christ by grace through faith in
God and in His Word. They are saved by grace through
faith, they are sanctified by grace through faith, and
they are to live and minister to one another by grace
through faith. After they believe God for salvation
through the death and Resurrection of Christ, they are
to continue their walk in the Spirit through the life of
the resurrected Christ living in them. As they live by
faith they are competent to minister God’s grace to one
another, believing that God is sovereign and true to His
Word—that He has given them “all things that pertain
unto life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3). If, however, their
faith is undermined or misplaced, their confidence in
God and their competence to minister diminish. There-
