TRAINING<br />
<strong>Bike</strong> <strong>MS</strong> is approaching quickly. It is important that you prepare your body<br />
and bike to complete the ride, by training consistently and adhering to all<br />
safety precautions.<br />
<strong>Bike</strong> <strong>MS</strong> has once again teamed up with GP Sports and Nutrition to provide<br />
training ride opportunities for all <strong>Bike</strong> <strong>MS</strong> <strong>participant</strong>s. Training rides will<br />
include a brief safety seminar before the ride begins and have a no rider left<br />
behind policy. All levels of cyclists are encouraged to attend the rides. Training<br />
rides will be offered in the New York City and Southern New York region.<br />

Training rides will begin on Saturday, July 17 and will occur every other<br />
Saturday until <strong>Bike</strong> <strong>MS</strong>. Please check the Web site under Cycling Resources<br />
for more detailed information such as meeting locations and times. Please<br />
note, training ride dates are subject to change, always check the Web site for<br />
updates before attending a ride.<br />

Here are five easy steps to help get your training started:<br />
Step 1: Use the <strong>Bike</strong> <strong>MS</strong> Online Training Tools at bike<strong>MS</strong>nyc.org.<br />
Step 2: Have your bike professionally inspected by an official <strong>Bike</strong> <strong>MS</strong> bike shop.<br />
Step 3: Track your mileage on gmap-pedometer.com.<br />
Step 4: Participate in other organized cycling events and/or rides.<br />
Step 5: Start or join training rides.<br />
