Ms Pam Hu<br />
Director, Community and International Relations, The Media Development Authority (MDA)<br />
Pam brings with her many years of experience in marketing & sales, marketing communications, human<br />
resource training & development, public administration in both the government and private sectors.<br />
Her current appointment as Director with the Media Development Authority’s Community & International Relations<br />
portfolio strengthens the MDA's presence in the local and international communities through a robust media literacy<br />
outreach programme that aims to equip every citizen to be media aware & savvy. Targeting at students, parents,<br />
educators and the public, the innovative outreach programme will stimulate demand of media consumption and instil<br />
the mindset of creativity and inquiry.<br />
Her previous appointments as the Director of the e-Lifestyle Marketing of the Infocomm Development Authority of<br />
<strong>Singapore</strong> aims to create an ICT culture where people from all walks of life are comfortable with and adept at using<br />
computers and appliances at home, work and play. Her mission is to make <strong>Singapore</strong> an e-inclusive society where every<br />
citizen, regardless of age, language, social or educational background, will have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits<br />
of living an e-lifestyle.<br />
Pam's past portfolio, with the then National Computer Board (NCB) include: managing and promoting the IT manpower<br />
development programmes to nurture, attract and convert IT talents; heading the IT Literacy skills outreach & promotion<br />
for workers; managing the local enterprises computerisation Programme (LECP) administration and outreach programme<br />
to the Small & Medium Enterprises; managing the Human Resource and Development programme in the NCB’s Research<br />
& Development arm, ITI. Prior to joining the NCB in 1985, Pam started her career as an IT trainer in the private sector.<br />
Pam graduated from the University Of Leeds, U.K. with a Bachelor of Science in Data Processing, a Master of Science<br />
in Systems Analysis from the University of Aston, U.K. and a Certificate from the Institute of Training & Development,<br />
Slough College, U.K.<br />
Pam is married with 2 children, age 18 and 17. In her spare time, she plays the piano and works out in the gym. She<br />
also loves baking and reads stories to children.<br />

Mr Martin Tan<br />
Executive Director, Young Leaders <strong>Foundation</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong><br />
Martin is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Young Leaders <strong>Foundation</strong> (YLF) <strong>Singapore</strong> as well as a member of<br />
the Leadership Team for Young Leaders <strong>Foundation</strong> International. He is a member on the Family Matters! <strong>Singapore</strong><br />
Committee and chairs the Teenage Development Work Group in Family Matters! <strong>Singapore</strong>. Martin previously served<br />
as the Executive Director from 2002 to 2003. He conducts seminars and workshops for schools and youth organisations<br />
on topics relating to Youths, Leadership and Social Activism. Young Leaders <strong>Foundation</strong> <strong>Singapore</strong> is a recipient of the<br />
YOCDF awarded by National Youth Council (NYC) and supported by National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC),<br />
Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), and Ministry of Information, Communication and the<br />
Arts (MICA).<br />
Mr Vincent Ong<br />

Over the last 12 months, Vincent and his team have been reaching out to schools to promote 3D visualization. Supported<br />
by strategic partners, such as Temasek Polytechnic, <strong>Singapore</strong> Science Centre, AMD, NTU CAMTech and MAXON Computer<br />
GmbH, this IDA-supported initiative called the Virtual Paper Napkin programme is to equip our students, our future<br />
professionals with a 3D mindset and skillset, to embrace the digital knowledge economy. Besides preparing students to<br />
be innovative creative professionals, engineers or scientists, he envisage that schools will eventually build a portfolio of<br />
high quality 3D digital assets and applications for more effective teaching and learning.<br />
Vincent has more than 20 years of corporate experience in the infocomm industry holding various positions in sales, marketing and management.<br />
He was in Silicon Graphics for 9 years and held the post of General Manager. He also worked for NEC, Wang Computers and Digital Equipment.<br />
He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the National University of <strong>Singapore</strong>.<br />
Vincent had served as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Nanyang Technological University's Centre for Graphics and Imaging Technology<br />
and was involved in establishing the Nanyang Centre for Supercomputing and Visualisation.<br />
Significant achievements include establishing the SGI-Ngee Ann Polytechnic Digital Effects Studio, a three year national initiative to address<br />
the shortage of skilled manpower in the broadcasting and production industry in <strong>Singapore</strong>.
