It,was on Dec. 1, 1968, that Mr.<br />
Armstrong first met "with the then<br />
-pres'ideot oLJsrael, Dr. Zalman<br />
Shazar, and agreed that the Work<br />
would <strong>com</strong>mence what has turned Qui<br />
to be a lO-year' association.<br />
Mr. Armstrong and his party had<br />
hoped to squeeze Egypt into the trip<br />
according!o Mr. Rader, but found it<br />
impoSsible . Plans now call for the<br />
entire trip to be spent. in Israel.<br />
Four members of The World To ·<br />
morrow television crew will be on<br />
hand to film the trip for use in Mr.<br />
Armstrong's television and film pro·<br />
gr~ming.<br />

been requested by the co· workers and<br />
members, according to Richard<br />
Rice, ·director of the Work's Mail<br />
Processing Center.<br />
C,o.worker response to an offer of<br />
on..e free book per household has been<br />
exceptional, he sa id. Ig just two<br />
weeks, 27 percent of all co~workers<br />
have requested the book.<br />

Mr. Rader was interviewed re o .<br />
cendy by Michael Jackson, a talkshow<br />
host on a Los Angeles, Calif.,<br />
public television channel, KCET, for<br />
airing Tuesday, Dec. 26 (6:30 p.m.)<br />
and Wednesday, Dec. 27 (12<br />
noon).<br />
"II was interesting because I now<br />
see that for the first time there is much<br />
more interest in what we believe and<br />
what we are saying and what we are<br />
doing about what we believe," said<br />
Mr. Rader:<br />

Rader was the guest speaker at the<br />
Nov·. 8 meeting of the Sabbatical<br />
Minister's Club here.<br />
The meeting was attended by about<br />
'30 of the sabbatical ministers and their<br />
wives. One of the main purposes of<br />
the club is-to help the ministry be<strong>com</strong>e<br />
acquainted wjth many of the men fulfilling<br />
key roles at headquarters.<br />
Mr. Rader began his 35·minute ad~<br />
dress by reminding the ministers of<br />
the heavy responsibility.ofthe mjnistry<br />
and concluded by saying a <strong>com</strong>·<br />
mon characteristic of successful pea·<br />
pIe ..... is energy.<br />
