Chapter 207 MANIFESTATIONS OF GODIt is of great benefit to us to consider the words of ParamhansaYogananda when he said, “Many devotees are bewildered about theManifestations of God, not realizing that there are 7 distinctManifestations.” He added, “It would be well for all devotees toremember about these seven which can be felt in meditation.”Before we reach the Supreme Attainment of Cosmic Consciousness,we can find God, tangibly within our being, through each of these 7ways.The most easily experienced by the devotee is the COSMIC SOUNDcalled the OM Vibration. It is called the Holy Ghost in the bible. Jesustold his disciples that it would bring all things to their remembrancethat he had said to them.The COSMIC LIGHT is a Divine Manifestation of God that is aspiritual blessing to perceive. It may be seen with inner vision by thosewho meditate deeply, persevering in this holy practice.Later one feels the COSMIC VIBRATION. This is called CosmicFeeling. Whenever a radio is turned on, or a piano is played, there is avibration which can be felt in the wood. The same is true of an electricmotor which makes a humming sound yet has, also, a vibrationthrough the metal. This same way the Cosmic Om Vibration is presentthrough our Being as Feeling in addition to hearing the Sound.COSMIC JOY is found when one is so filled with Joy that there is asense of floating, of walking on air, and which does not come fromany reason or event in daily life. It permeates whatever one does. Thismeans the devotee is in tune with God as Joy. The inner radiance istransmitted to others, and may be reflected in the eyes. Children oftenexpress this in their exuberance of spirit, with their desire to run, jumpand dance. Their joy comes from within and is a spiritual happiness.COSMIC WISDOM is realized by Intuition.
