Kathyorganized H.E.A.R.’s first fundraiser, a celebrityRock and Bowl-a-Thon, covered by CNN, The NewYork Times, Time Magazine and People. Fundsraised then provided medical equipmentfor a hearing screening program at theHaight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic.H.E.A.R. is now active in the media, onthe Internet, at schools and at concerts.Supporters of H.E.A.R. include: George Clinton ofParliament-Funkadelic, Lars Ulrich of Metallica,Perry Farrell a.k.a.
