For third years, we have alreadycome to the painful realization that the workload never subsides and wehave all gone from denial and frustration to our current disposition ofnonchalant acceptance.There is a lot to look forward to, or at least to look out for, in theupcoming weeks. UPS will be conducting elections to usher in the newestgroup of executives. We encourage all first and second year students toconsider running for a position – there are QUITE a number to choosefrom. We also highly recommend speaking to the person who currentlyholds the position that you would like to run for as they can offer youinvaluable insight into what the position actually entails. Please view theUPS website www.utups.ca for a more detailed list of who the executivesare. Class council elections will follow thereafter, so if you have yoursights set on more class-oriented student council du-ties, then this is aperfect opportunity for you!The UPS Points and Awards Night will also tentatively take place onTuesday, April 3, so to those of you who have been conscientious in yourparticipation in Faculty activities and athletics, this is your opportunity tobe rewarded for your efforts. This year, students have been particularlyrabid about the accumulation of UPS points so a number of PharmacyLetters (or Pharmacy ‘P’s), Plaques, and Social Awards will be given out.More details to follow soon! CAPSI Charity Week is also coming up soon,so look out for ways that you can volunteer or contribute.The 0T8s also have their OSCE (Objective Structural Clinical Exam)coming up, so we’d like to take this opportunity to wish them all goodluck.In pharmacy and interested in contributingto The Monograph in writing,photography, shout-outs, jokes, poetryor artwork?
