In addition to helping beautify yourneighbourhood, Community Conservation Activities are alsoa great way to meet new people and to learn about your localarea, different plants and helpful gardening techniques.All Community Conservation Activities are held from10am to 1pm, unless otherwise stated.SustainableLiving WorkshopsSustainable Living Workshops are a great place to learn newskills and meet like-minded people. As well as providing anopportunity to increase your knowledge on sustainability youare also able to meet experts in the industry and share yourown knowledge and handy resources.Details of the workshops are on page 4 and 5.There is no cost to attend the workshops, please book yourplace to avoid disappointment.For bookings and information please contact <strong>Brimbank</strong>’sEnvironment Education Officer on 9249 4000or environment@brimbank.vic.gov.auWhat you need to know about Community Planting ActivitiesAll <strong>event</strong>s listed are suitable for people of allages and are wonderful family activities. It’sa great way to meet other residents.Following is a rundown of how plantingactivities are conducted:10am:10:15am:10:30am:RegistrationSite SafetyConversationStart planting and sitemaintenance activities.12:00 - 12.30pm: Light refreshments or abarbecue lunch providedby <strong>Brimbank</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>Council</strong>(no charge) and anopportunity to catch upwith other volunteers and<strong>Council</strong> staff.Please remember to bring along your own gardening gloves,water bottle and wear a pair of sturdy shoes, long trousers and longsleeve top.
