To begin the applicationprocess, register online and you will be contacted withapplication details.Facilitating Adult LearningA class that will get you started on facilitating classes forother <strong>Girl</strong> <strong>Scout</strong> volunteers.October 22, 20118 a.m. - noonA Place for <strong>Girl</strong>sVolunteerCourseGuidelinesWho can attend? - Any registered adult or girlmember age 14 or older (with a parent permissionslip & <strong>Girl</strong> Health History) may attendvolunteer courses.Registration - Registration deadline is one weekprior to each course. Participants must registerfor courses online at gsccc.org. Class sizes arelimited by facility, type of course and numberof facilitators and occasionally maximums arereached. Classes may be cancelled due to lowenrollment. Onsite registration is not available.Walk-ins will only be accepted if space, materialsand the appropriate number of facilitatorsare available.Fees - Courses are offered at a minimal cost toparticipants, to cover only materials associatedwith the course. Fees must be included at thetime of registration. Refunds can only be offeredwhen registration is cancelled three businessdays prior to the class. Credits of less than $10will be kept on file and may be applied to otherorders.Cancellations - Classes are planned for thenumber of persons enrolled by registrationdeadline. If you will not be attending,you must cancel at least 3 days prior to theclass. To cancel call the <strong>Council</strong> office at(757) 410-0428 or from outlying areas,1-800-77SCOUT, Ext. 1253. If classes arecancelled by the <strong>Council</strong> due to low enrollmentor unforeseen circumstances, every effort willbe made to contact individuals in a timelymanner. Toreceive credit for the course, you must arriveon time and stay for the entire course.• Do not bring children to adult volunteercourses.
