RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR: INDIA SCENARIO<strong>Renewable</strong> energy is becoming an increasingly important element of India’s national energy mix• As per the Ministry of New and <strong>Renewable</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> (MNRE), India’s total renewable potential is ~245 GW, however the currentinstalled capacity is only 28 GW• Wind energy dominates India’s renewable energy sector.
