Emergency Preparednessengage the community in activities that better prepare us for emergenciesof all types. The citizen Corps is composed of four emergency districtsand four functional committees. Each district is sponsored by anLDS Stake sharing the same geographic boundaries. The functionalcommittees are action committees: the Citizen Emergency ResponseTeam (CERT), the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), Amateur RadioCommunications, and Be Ready Utah. Each district and functional committeehas a chairman who attends the Citizen Corps Council meetingon the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 am at City Hall.A calendar of emergency preparedness events including emergencycommunications tests, quarterly neighborhood network meetings, aCERT competition and a city-wide mock disaster exercise will be availableon the City Website (www.centervilleut.net).
