Reinhart Emergency Trauma <strong>Center</strong> PediatricWaiting Room, which is now under construction.“I am so thrilled to be of help to <strong>Hurley</strong>’s excitingEmergency Trauma <strong>Center</strong> addition. This newspace will enable our physicians and staff tocontinue providing the most outstanding clinicalcare for the region’s smallest patients,” said Dr.Klein. “By recommending $90,000 be given to<strong>Hurley</strong>’s Pediatric ED Waiting Room on behalfof the Sheppy Dog Fund, I am helping to supportthe vital services <strong>Hurley</strong> offers its youngestpatients as the region’s only children’s hospital.”Dr. Klein is also donating dental equipment to<strong>Hurley</strong>’s new Pediatric Emergency Department,enabling pediatric patients to receive up to theminute dental care in the event of traumas andemergencies, when seconds count.“A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Alan Klein for allof his past and continued support,” said PatrickWardell, <strong>Hurley</strong> President and Chief ExecutiveOfficer. “For Dr. Klein to donate towardsour Xbox gameroom and to give to our PaulF. LastFall, Microsoft partnered with Children’s MiracleNetwork during the Children’s Miracle NetworkXbox 360 Gameroom Giveaway Promotion. Thecontest provided gameroom makeovers worth$10,000 to three of the 170 Children’s MiracleNetwork hospitals nationwide that garneredthe most public votes. Thanks to an outpouringof community support, <strong>Hurley</strong> finished in firstplace. <strong>Hurley</strong>, which has 42 pediatric beds,received more than 2 million votes. Reinhart Emergency Trauma<strong>Center</strong>, to honor the late PaulF. Reinhart, who was dedicatedto ensuring adequate and fairdistribution of Medicaid fundingfor hospitals throughout theentire state of Michigan. Thenew Paul F. Reinhart EmergencyTrauma <strong>Center</strong> is expected to becompleted by February 2012.
