FUNDING SUPPORT<br />

The <strong>Detroit</strong> <strong>River</strong> as a Canadian Heritage <strong>River</strong><br />

The <strong>Detroit</strong> <strong>River</strong> <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Strategy</strong> Committee and its subcommittees would<br />

like to extend a sincere thank you to the organizations which have financially<br />

supported the designation initiative since its inception in 1996 to the present. Their<br />

contributions allowed the designation initiative to move forward, through the hiring<br />

of staff, the production and distribution of information packages, the publishing of<br />

the Background Report, Nomination Document, and the <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Strategy</strong>, and<br />

public consultations.<br />

FUNDING SUPPORT<br />

A fundraising campaign has been initiated to ensure project goals can be met. Funding received so far has<br />

assisted in expenses for promotions, displays, photos, editing, printing and staffing. Generous financial and<br />
