2 Annual Report 2007-2008
Dear Friends of St. Elizabeth Academy
We, Sisters of the Most
Precious Blood,
have been dedicated to
St. Elizabeth Academy for
over 125 years. Many of
our Sisters were educated
or taught at St. Elizabeth
Academy, so there are
some very deep connections
to the Academy. We
feel privileged to continue
our support of and work
with the leadership, faculty,
staff, alumnae, parents, and young women
who are educated at St. Elizabeth Academy.
Leadership is key to creating a warm and friendly
climate as we plan for the future of St. Elizabeth
Academy. We are still grieving the loss of a very
dedicated woman and principal, Susan Geldmacher,
who served as principal for the past two and a half
years and who died of cancer in January 2008. In
February we appointed Christina Cheak to assume the
position of principal for the remainder of this year and
through the 2008-2009 school year. We are confident
that St. Elizabeth Academy is in good hands with a
very wonderful leadership and staff.
We are proud that St. Elizabeth Academy continues
to touch the lives and values of the young women who
are educated here. We are proud of those women who
have been educated at St. Elizabeth Academy and
who have taken what they have learned into family,
church, and society. We are grateful for the support of
so many others who help to continue our mission at
St. Elizabeth Academy.
Sincerely,
Sister Mary Whited, C.PP.S.
