The sub-committees, with the support of the technicalcommittees, are assigned responsibilities to developstrategies and plans and submit them to theTransformation Committee with recommendationsfor approval.The sub- committees are chaired by members ofthe Transformation Committee. The Secretariat,on the other hand, is responsible to manage, coordinateand give both technical and administrativesupport to the Transformation Committee.The Secretariat has been soliciting support fromother stakeholders and we have thus far engagedwith the Independent Development Trust which hasshown an interest in our transformation agenda.We will continue to seek support for this processwithin other spheres of government and the privatesector.The West Rand District Municipality has made provision for the following strategies:• Growth and development strategy review• Human Settlements Strategy• Local economic development plan• Marketing strategy• Feasibility study.Vision 2016 is a programme that we CAN and WILL deliver as promised.44 Working together we will build better communities!
