Soror Johnson is aLicensed Professional Counselor and School Psychologist in privatepractice. She is married to Joseph Johnson and is the mother of staterepresentative Jarbar Shumate.The Rhoer Club is the youth organization of Sigma Gamma RhoSorority and the Alpha Xi Sigma Chapter has 18 members. Thisclub is focused on education, cultural development and leadershiptraining for girls between the ages of 13-18. Withmore than 250 people in attendance, 15 lovely senior Rhoer Clubmembers made their spectacular debut to the Denver community.Rhoer Yoshanni Ford-Boone was crowned Queen and also receivedthe Talent Award, Rhoer Jasmyn McGill received the Princessand Ms. Congeniality Award, and Rhoer Jennifer Williamsonreceived the honor of Duchess. Other awards were presented toRhoer Breeahna Britt – Rhoer of The Year, Rhoer Michaela Jones– Community Service, Rhoer Ashley Filer – Essay, and Rhoer TiarraWhitaker – Highest GPA. Special recognition was also given toRhoer Tashara May who received the Sisters in Service ExecutiveBoard Scholarship.Through their involvement in the Rhoer Club, this year’s debutantesalong with the other 26 Rhoer Club members participated incultural, educational, social and community service activitiesdesigned to enrich their lives. SororKeisha Cohen, rhoer advisor, works diligently with the Rhoer Clubcommittee to assist the rhoers in being positive and staying activelyinvolved with community service projects.The Rhoer Club had four members to graduate from high schooland will be making the transition to college. This past fall,Rhoer Aviance Irish began attending St. Xavier University, RhoerJasmen Mickey began attending Virginia State University, RhoerDominique Smith began attending North Central University andRhoer LaSheda Wallace began attending Jackson State University.Rhoers Jasmen Mickey and LaSheda Wallace each were recipients of$1000 scholarships from Eta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter.Rhoer Kristian Calbert was inducted into the National JuniorHonor Society and Rhoer Calbert was also selected as a People toPeople United States Ambassador and will travel to Australia inJuly 2007.Contact: Soror Linda D.
