Participant Contract & Terms and Conditions with Ayusa-Intrax GmbH as a partner with an on behalf of Intrax for the Entrepreneur Seminar & Summer Internship Program USA 1. Ayusa-Intrax GmbH (hereinafter named “Ayusa-Intrax”) has placed Participant with the Program (as defined below in Section 3) as partner with and on behalf of Intrax Cultural Exchange, 600 California Street, Floor 10, San Francisco, CA 94108, USA (hereinafter named “Intrax USA”). 2. Participant is required to apply for and obtain a J1 Visa for the Programme. Intrax will be the sponsor organisation for the J1 Visa for the Programme. Participant is solely responsible for application and compliance with all visa and entry requirements when applying for a J1 Visa. 3. Program Fee for: Entrepreneuer Seminar & Summer Internship Program USA 2012 New York: San Francisco: 5 ½ weeks: 4.500 € 5 ½ weeks: 4.100 € 8 ½ weeks: 5.200 € 8 ½ weeks: 4.800 € 4. a) Payment of the Programme Fee i. 20 % of the Programme Fee due upon receipt of the confirmation of acceptance into the Program and invoice. ii. 80 % of the remaining Programme Fee due upon confirmed placement with an organisation or 4 weeks prior to the Programme start date, whichever is earliest. b) Services included in the Programme: � Placement in a 5 ½ week or 8 ½ week internship in San Francisco or New York through Intrax. � 2 day Orientation � 3 – 4 Full day seminars/workshops at University of California at Berkeley or Columbia University � Activities � Graduation Ceremony and Party � Accomodation in Residence Clubs. (Shared room, shared bath) � Airport transfer to the Residence Club (airport shuttle voucher) � Forms necessary for the application of the J1-Visa provided � SEVIS security fee for visa application (currently $180 and subject to change at discretion of the U.S. Department of State). � Basic insurance for the duration of program � Consulting and pre-departure orientation through Ayusa-Intrax in Berlin � Support and consultation with submission of application documents. � Informationen zum Programm � Information about flight options � Contact person in New York or San Francisco � 24-Stunden emergency phone number � Certificate of Completion at the end of the Programme Entrepreneur Seminar & Summer Internship USA February 6, 2012 2
5. Not included: � Flight � US Consulate Fee for J1 visa appointment ($140) � Local Transportation, Meals, Spending Money This contract with Participant with respect to the Program is exclusively with Intrax USA and Ayusa-Intrax, as partner. Participant will also be required to sign a contract (DS-7002 Internship/Training Plan) with the company in which Participant is placed (such organisation hereinafter defined as the “host company”). Participant understands and agrees that the host company is the contracting party with respect to any contract signed with the host company. Additionally, such contract with the host company is subject to the applicable laws of the respective governing authority. Because Ayusa-Intrax or Intrax USA has no influence on the behavior and decisions of the host companies participating in the Program, in the event the host company terminates the internship position, Participant is not entitled to a refund of the Program fee. This clause applies despite, but not limited to, cases in which Intrax USA is unable to find a new placement, if attempted, or Participant finds an alternative internship. Participant is also not entitled to a refund in the event the position is cancelled by the host company or Intrax USA, or Participant withdraws from the Program. Participant agrees to comply with all local regulations and laws in which Participant is placed, as well as the rules and regulations of the host company.
