They are joined in oneexperience of image and sound, as acontinuous inspiration.Aeolian stringsThe wind has been a great source ofinspiration for artists, poets and musicians.In Inspired, four aeolian stringsare placed outside on the top of theroom to catch the wind (see the upperimage to the right and the sketcheson the next page), on top of the KABKbuilding, where the wind is free toplay. Each string is recorded usingelectrical guitar pickups.The overtone sounds from each stringare reproduced inside the room by aseparate speakers in the top anglesof the room, one speaker for eachstrings.page 3
