We have no current plans to explore licensing technologies. <strong>The</strong>potential opportunities across all University of Toronto campuses are too vast to list(www.utoronto.ca).University of TrentoTrento is already involved in the ITPAR programme (India-Trento Programme for AdvancedResearch), launched in 2003 after the formalisation of an agreement between the ProvinciaAutonoma di Trento, the Istituto Trentino di Cultura, the University of Trento and the Departmentof Science and Technology (DST) of the Indian government. <strong>The</strong> agreement was renewed in2007 and the second phase of the ITPAR programme got started.<strong>The</strong> aim of the programme is to create favorable conditions enabling a mutual and strongscientific and technological collaboration within several selected areas. <strong>The</strong> ways to achieve it aremainly: to promote the mobility of researchers and the organization of regular workshops; jointtraining of human resources through a system of scholarships addressed to post-doc and youngresearchers; amelioration and/or creation of research structures and lab instrumentation.<strong>The</strong> scientific areas are the following: Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence; Microsystems;Physics and Material Science; Telecommunications and Signal Processing; Nano-Photonics eCognitive Neurosciences.Joint projects in each area are designed along strategic lines defined by a Joint SteeringCommittee, while the quality is ensured by a Joint Scientific Committee. <strong>The</strong> collaborativemethodology involves Indian and Italian researchers and labs, and consists mainly in: sharedinvestigation between Indian and Italian partners; study of the state-of-the-art technology;development & experimentation of innovative methodologies; implementation, experimentationand validation of outcomes; publication of scientific results.<strong>The</strong> expected general results for all joint projects are:i) Joint publications in international journals and conferences;ii) Joint organization of workshops;iii) Training of young researchers and possible activation of Co-tutored PhD programmes;iv) Jointly developed products;v) Innovative technology to transfer and spin-offUral State University of Railway TransportI am interested in research collaborations in: automatic control, telemechanics andcommunication; organization of transport/ theoretical and practical basics of supply transport withpersonnel; training of specialists; highways and railroads construction; microprocessor systemsfor dispatcher control of railway points and signals.
