PUPEDIS 163METHODSCollecting sites at <strong>West</strong> <strong>River</strong> Memorial Park were restricted tothat area from <strong>the</strong> Chapel Street Bridge to <strong>the</strong> tide gates at ColumbusAvenue, <strong>and</strong> to <strong>the</strong> reflecting pool constructed along <strong>the</strong> eastside <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> park (Fig. 1). The specific ecological zones sampled were<strong>the</strong> benthic region <strong>of</strong> river <strong>and</strong> reflecting pool, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> associatedshorelines <strong>and</strong> mudflats. Six collecting trips were conducted in <strong>the</strong> park.Figure 1.
