Annex A:Basic Image Parameter <strong>Metadata</strong> <strong>DIG35</strong> <strong>Specification</strong> 2000-08-30A.3.2 Preferred Presentation ParametersPreferred Presentation Parameters specifies the preferred height and width, respectively. This size is the size that the imageshould be displayed on an output device when the output size is not specified by other means. For example, when printing theimage directly, it should be shown this size. When printing the same image from a page layout application, then the page layoutapplication may well specify the position and size of the image. (Note the preferred presentation parameters may be used as theinitial size when the image is loaded into the page layout application.)This field shall contain the sub-fields listed below.Schema Definition:Width: This field specifies the preferred width of the image in meters.Height: This field specifies the preferred height of the image in meters.Example:0.15240.1016A.3.3 Color In<strong>for</strong>mationColor In<strong>for</strong>mation specifies the colorspace of the decompressed image data. Note that internal to the compression process, theimage coder may convert the data to a different colorspace. However, this process is considered a black box at the file <strong>for</strong>matlevel, and that internal colorspace is not exposed to the end user.This field may contain the sub-fields listed below unless otherwise stated.Schema Definition:Colorspace: This field must be included and specifies the colorspace. See section A.3.3.1 <strong>for</strong> details.A.3.3.1 ColorspaceColorspace specifies the colorspace of the decompressed image data as an ICC profile[4]. The profile may be specified either bya profile name or an URL. If it is named, then the profile is known by a well-defined name and thus is not included in the file; thename of the desired profile should be specified. If the value is URL, then the desired profile is located at the URL.
