Design & Build together!
When I started working as a young architect and began building my first project, the renovation of
a derelict building, I soon realised that I was making all of my design decisions on the site, and not
at my drawing desk. In the years that followed, when I began working with families and groups, I
integrated them into the design and building process decisions as well. When I became a professor,
I continued to design and build together; this time, with my students.

2002 1. Prize: International Wood Construction & Design Award for a pedestrian bridge in Forest Park Tharandt, Germany
since 2002 several awards & honourable mentions for projects designed and built together with TU Dresden
