GlidexLubricant detergent-biocideINNOVATIONS IN CHEMISTRYMaterial Safety DataSection 4First Aid FacilitiesEyeSwallowedSkinInhaledAdvice to DoctorFirst aid measuresEye and hand washing station, safety shower and general washing facility.The eyes are sensitive to this product in its concentrated form.Immediately irrigate with copious amounts of water for 15 minutes while holding eyelidsopen, and retract eyelids often. Seek immediate Medical attention if symptoms persist.Will irritate the gastro-intestinal tract and may cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomitingand diarrhoea.Give a small amount of water to drink to dilute material in the stomach. Do not inducevomiting. If vomiting occurs, wash out mouth with water, provided victim is conscious.Seek immediate Medical attention if the symptoms persist.Not expected to be a source of exposure, but may be a source of irritation.If a person becomes a victim, remove any contaminated clothing. Wash affected areawith soap and water. If irritation persists or if swelling, redness blistering or burningoccurs seek immediate Medical attention. Wash any contaminated clothing before reuse.Vapours or mists may irritate the mucous membranes & respiratory tract.If a person is affected by the vapour remove the victim away from the source of exposureto a position of fresh air. Allow the victim to assume the most comfortable position.Seek immediate Medical attention if symptoms persist.Treat symptomatically, according to the judgement of a doctor and the patient’s reactionto this product.Section 5Specific hazardsFire-fighting adviceExtinguishing mediaFire fighting measuresThis product is stable when stored in a dry, cool place. This liquid is combustible, andmay form flammable mixtures with air. It will produce propionaldehyde on decomposition.Combustible liquid. Vapour forms an explosive mixture in air in confined spaces.Fires involving this product should be extinguished with media appropriate to surroundingfire conditions.Firefighters should wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatusif they risk exposure to vapours of combustion products.On burning may emit toxic fumes including those of carbon monoxide.If possible, move containers away from the path of any fire.Keep the containers cool with water spray.
