Annotation José Limon was born in Mexico but due to the civil war, he and his family left Mexico for the United States. The transition in school was hard but after three years José learned English and began drawing. After the death of his mother he decided to move to New York City to pursue his dream of becoming an artist. His dream as an artist came to an end, opening the door to a fulfilling dream of becoming a dancer. He developed his own style of dancing that made him known around the world.
