The requirements for modern sound installations are numerous: maximum reliability, use in a wide range of applications, 

compatibility, simple handling, an attractive design, intuitive operation and a balanced sound at all volume 

levels. Only a sophisticated holistic audio system can fulfil all of these requirements - a system that can be used for 

many different applications even though all components are adapted to operate in perfect harmony with one another. 

Over the last 5 years, we have not only developed speakers, amplifiers and DSP technology, but have taken a more 

forward-thinking approach and designed a compatible operating concept with remote control, system control and synchronous 

control of interlinked devices.

One guiding principle for the development of our speaker systems is “Perfection to detail”. 

We are only satisfied when all components are correctly in place and each individual screw is sitting snugly. A combination 

of state-of-the-art CNC production, perfect handwork and our passionate affiliation to the product are simply 

irreplaceable. We therefore use only high-quality materials, the latest generation of neodymium audio transducers and 

selected electronic components. When tuning our loudspeaker systems, we place an equal amount of trust in state-ofthe-art 

measuring systems and the human ear for our speaker development, production and quality assurance processes. 

A speaker system is a tool that should be utilised efficiently. A natural sound and perfect speech intelligibility depend 

mainly on a clean acoustic design. When developing our speakers, we attach great importance to minimising distortion, 

even dispersion characteristics and frequency and phase linearity. We would be glad to provide planners and engineers 

who use the room simulation programs EASE and ULYSSES with the specifications of our speaker systems. 

Clear contours, clear design. 

Another decisive factor in the selection of a speaker system is the external appearance, whereby a defined, discreet 

design is extremely important. Precisely calculated, statistic-based dimensions not only generate a particularly robust 

design, but are also deemed extremely attractive to the human eye. Fohhn speakers systems are available in all RAL 

colours to allow subtle integration into any environment. Various systems from the Arc series are available in a stylish 

design with matt finish and for external applications; we also offer speakers systems with an ultra-resistant weatherproof 

plastic coating. 

Versatile accessories. 

We have developed a host of useful accessories such as precision wall brackets and U-clamps for quick, safe speaker 

installation to lighten your daily workload. Our product range also includes transport covers and flight cases so that 

your speaker systems will not look old and worn in years to come. 

The amplifiers. 

State-of-the-art amplifier technology developed to meet the most demanding requirements for audio quality and 

reliability. 

Integral and external amplifiers. 

Our active speaker systems and external 19” amplifiers are equipped with state-of-the-art CLASS D or CLASS H technology 

and were developed to meet the most demanding requirements for audio quality and reliability in fixed installations 

and mobile applications. 

The main advantages of the CLASS D and CLASS H amplifiers are the low weight and compact dimensions, outstanding 

sound quality and a high degree of efficiency that minimises heat development inside the amplifiers considerably 

compared to conventional analogue amplifiers. The amplifiers require minimal cooling and always operate reliably as a 

result.

Fohhn Audio DSP technology.

State-of-the-art DSP technology. 

Our digital sound processors are integrated in all Fohhn amplifiers, new active speakers and the FC-8 digital controller. 

The algorithms used and the precision of the programming define DSP technology. Fohhn development engineers have 

invested a great deal of time attempting to produce the perfect sound. Fohhn began developing its own DSP technology 

in 2000 and Head of Electronics Development Bernd Nimmrichter and his team have been consistently developing the 

Fohhn DSP concept ever since. 

The unique Fohhn 2-stage DSP concept : 

DSP-1: Integrated Digital Audio Devices. 

Extremely versatile. 5 professional audio devices offer valuable benefits on an everyday working level: 10-band parametric 

EQ, delay, compressor/limiter, noise gate and crossover allow the user to adapt the audio system perfectly to sound 

requirements, room acoustics or personal preferences. 

Cable faults, cumbersome rack cabinets and tangled cables are a thing of the past. The integrated technology reduces 

the weight and dimensions of the unit and guarantees stress-free operation. In addition, the operating status display 

gives you complete control in monitoring the temperature and operating time. 

DSP-2: Speaker Management System. 

Specifications for all types of Fohhn speakers are stored in a speaker database. An algorithm especially developed by 

Fohhn guarantees a balanced sound and maximum operation reliability at all volume levels. 

Easy to operate. 

A control panel with a blue, four-line LCD display is integrated in Fohhn active systems, amplifiers and controllers, so 

that users can adjust and view the DSP functions on the respective audio device (does not apply to A series amplifiers).

2. The intuitive operating concept. 

Everything under control: 6 user-friendly options for controlling and monitoring your Fohhn Audio System remotely. 

The intuitive Fohhn operating concept incorporates cable-connected and wireless remote control options for fixed and 

mobile Fohhn sound systems. The remote control devices are extremely user-friendly and give the user complete control 

over the audio system from a central location. Individual devices and entire systems can be operated synchronously from 

one of several devices, opening up a whole range of different application possibilities. 

All Fohhn active speaker systems, DSP amplifiers and DSP controllers are equipped with two Fohhn-Net network interfaces 

as standard, which can be used to monitor and remotely operate each individual device. If you are using several 

Fohhn devices, you can easily interlink and monitor or remotely operate them from a central location. The Fohhn-Net 

system is nothing more than a control network, i.e. no audio data is transferred, only control data. Fohhn-Net can 

operate a maximum of 254 devices simultaneously via cable at distances of up to 1800 m. At live events, you can use 

any available microphone cables or your multicore and for fixed installations, you can use conventional telephone or 

network cables. 

Bus or star networks are also an option here. A circular cabling arrangement will achieve additional redundancy and 

ensure that the star network will function correctly if interrupted at any point. The Fohhn-Net was designed in line 

with established industrial standards and is very reliable due to a stable transfer protocol and permanent monitoring 

(continuous feedback during data transfer).

FLYING CRADLE 

Cradle according to BGV C1 for Perform WaveLine. Fohhn® WaveLinesystem's 

rigging mechanics together with the flying-cradle are certified 

according to Germans BGV-C1 and DIN 18800. An analysis of 

strength can be achieved by a free-of-charge software (Fohhn's Flying 

Calculator) which shows easily the legality of your rigging job.
