A Librarywhich is a virtual storehouse <strong>of</strong> knowledge that a law studentcould aspire for, coupled with an Internet Centre, Wi-Fi campus,which provides access to the richest databases across theglobe pertaining to a myriad <strong>of</strong> wide-ranging realms <strong>of</strong> legalresearch. An ultra-modern Gym with the latest equipmentprovides ideal environs for physical work-out. State-<strong>of</strong>-the-artfacilities for games like Basket-ball, Table-Tennis, <strong>Law</strong>n-Tennis,Foot-ball and Cricket exist.Our emphasis on discipline is unrelenting. Students havetheir own space but with all the requisite checks and balances.Boys and girls have separate hostels with 24 Hour internetfacility in each hostel room. Each Hostel has a common room,equipped with a T.V. and facilities for indoor games. There is acommon Dinning Hall. The National Academy <strong>of</strong> Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Law</strong> established under theAndhra Pradesh Act, 1998 (No. 34 <strong>of</strong> 1998), is a body corporate having perpetual succession and a commonseal. In a decadesince its establishment 1998, the <strong>University</strong> has producedthree Rhodes Scholars other students otherprestigious cholarships to pursue studies in the best Universities abroad. His areas <strong>of</strong>specialization include Legal Theory, PublicInternational <strong>Law</strong>, International Relations andpower politics. He has authored 'Modern <strong>Law</strong> <strong>of</strong> Insurance in India ' and 'Criminal <strong>Law</strong>' andfive monographs and published several articlesin leading <strong>Law</strong> Journals. He is invited by the Central <strong>University</strong>, Hyderabad to be a member <strong>of</strong> 'Programme Advisory Committee' for thePost-Graduate Diploma in 'Cyber <strong>Law</strong>s and Intellectual Property Rights'.He is Vice-President for 'Acumen Legal Education Research and Training', Executive Member for 'Centre for Corporate Strategies'and Panel Member for 'Acumen Legal Services (India) Private Limited'. He was awarded the Ph.D. Degreein 1996 from Maharshi Dayanand <strong>University</strong>, Rohtak. He has had five years <strong>of</strong> experience at the Bar prior to teaching. His books titled “Hindu <strong>Law</strong> <strong>of</strong> Adoption” 2004 and “<strong>Law</strong> Relating toDomestic Violence” 2007 and his RevisedEditions <strong>of</strong> “Family <strong>Law</strong> in India” by Pr<strong>of</strong>essorth th thG.C.V. Subba Rao, (8 edition, 2004 and 9 edition 2007) and “Hindu <strong>Law</strong> and Usage” by Mayne (16 edition, 2009), are especiallynoteworthy. He has also published more than 30 articles on Hindu <strong>Law</strong> in reputed law journals; has contributed papers in books andpublished several book reviews. He has worked on several projects including a project commissioned by the National Commission forWomen, on ‘Coparcenary Rights <strong>of</strong> Women in Andhra Pradesh. Pr<strong>of</strong>. Kumar has participated and presented papers in several Nationaland International Conferences. He has also participated in the <strong>Law</strong> Teachers Programme on “<strong>Law</strong> Teaching and Legal Research Skills”at Cardiff <strong>Law</strong> School, (UK) in 2004.
