You’ll hear all about the history of thearea, including the extraction of fertilizer from peat dug in the surrounding Antrim hills. Inthe summer season, your walk will be beautifully decorated by a profusion of wild flowers.On returning to Carnlough, complete the experience with well deserved tea or coffee andscones in the award-winning Londonderry Arms Hotel 1. Built as a coaching inn in 1848,it is one of Northern Ireland’s most atmospheric hotels.All of the walking will be on paths or trails, but please ensure you wear suitable clothingand walking shoes.
