Information on trading of companies by number of trading sessions
The shares of total 257 companies were traded in at least one trading session during the first six month of the
current year. The shares of 341 companies were listed for trading on BSE-Sofia AD at the beginning of January, nine
were written off during the six-month period and the shares of another seven companies were admitted for trading.
There were no transactions with the shares of 91 companies in the period 3 January – 30 June this year.
There were transactions with the shares of 13 companies during all 126 trading sessions in the first half of the
year, 11 of those being holding companies. Compensation notes and registered compensation vouchers were traded in
all those days. 33 companies participated in 101 - 125 trading sessions and the shares of 24 companies were traded in
76-100 sessions.
32 companies participated in 51-75 trading sessions and 40 - in 26-50 sessions. 115 companies participated in
the lowest number of sessions – between 1 and 25, and 23 participated in only one session during the first six months
of this year.
The companies included in the BG40 index were traded in average 116 trading sessions in the first six months
of the current year. In comparison, the companies included in SOFIX were traded in average 105 sessions.
