However,where high dose antioxidants are used totreat disease, supplements may be the onlyway to get the right amounts.For example, to get the same quantities asthe AREDS formula you would need to eat500g of oysters, 2 cups of red capsicum,<strong>and</strong> 1400 almonds daily. There are reasons to be cautious in usinghigh-dose vitamins <strong>and</strong> minerals.
