Calibration & Certification…for long life and optimalperformance of your Viscometer,Rheometer and Texture AnalyzerViscosityStandardsFluids shouldbe replacedannuallySee pages 46 & 47for details.For your viscometers andrheometers, we will inspectyour instrument for wear,clean, adjust and lubricatethe internal mechanisms,replace part of the sensingsystem element (the pivotsupport assembly and, when required, the pointershaft), and check your spindles. Spindles thatare returned to a Brookfield Service Center arealso straightened if necessary. In addition to thismaintenance, we calibrate and certify in writingthat your instrument is operating within properBrookfield specifications. This certification statesthat your instrument has been calibrated againststandards which are traceable to the NationalInstitute of Standards & Technology (NIST). This isbecoming an increasingly important requirementas industry throughout the world takes steps tocomply with ISO 9000 regulations.For texture analyzers, we also inspect for wear,clean, adjust and lubricate internal mechanisms,and adjust, if necessary, the zero and span forproper load cell performance. Certified calibrationweights can be purchased for your textureanalyzer.Brookfield Service CenterCalibration and CertificationBrookfield Engineering recommends that you return your instrument toBrookfield or an authorized dealer on an annual basis for our Calibration andCertification Service.
