Miracles89The miracle of his voice was that the people who were sitting faraway from him. would be able to hear it as well as those sitting veryclose to him. Deeply impressed by his Bayan-e-Ouran, hundredand thousands of people would decide to accept Tark-e-Durtyaand became his followers."Deedar-e-Khuda"2. His claim regardingin this world could notbe challenged. However, the Ulema of Gujarat became jealous, andtried to have a fatwa (religious order)passed for his death. When itwas given to Moulana Mohammed Haj, a great Alim and teacher ofhis day to sign, he refused, and asked the Ulema, "Have youacquired knowledge, only to pass a fatwa of death for aSyed?".The Ulema, who had been sent by Sultan-e-Khurasan, askedMahdi Maud (AHS) to produce witnesses to vouch for his havingseen Allah. He pointed to his right, and to his left, and said thatMohammed Rasool-ullah (PBUH) and prophet lbrahim Khaleel-ullah(PBUH) were standing there as witnesses. Shah Nizam (RZ)and Shah Dilawar (RZ) as per the shariat, were the two otherwitnesses. Seeing this, the Ulema of Khurasan announced,'O,Ameer-e-Ameeran, (leader of leaders) and Peer-e-peeran (Saint ofsaints) your word alone, is enough for us". They toldShaikh-ul-lslam of Khurasan that Syed Mohammed was'one of thesymbols of Allah". (for details please read page ( 46),(vide Al.M.M.P.345).A number of other Ulema and historians, both Mahdawi andnon-Mahdawi, have admitted that he was a great Wali-e-Allah.Shah Wali-ullah Dehlavi has stated "Syed Mohammed was anAlim-e-Haq (Alim of God). and Wasil-Billah (having uttercommunion with Allah) (AL M.M.P.404).A few of the mircacles which occurred at the time of his birth.have been described earlier. Those miracles, not so far mentioned, are birfly described below:3, A dry stick was planted in the earth by Mahdi-E-Maud (AHS),and it grew into a green plant. One day, Bandagi Miyan SYEDSALAMULLAH (RZ) asked the Mahdi (AHS) that according to asaying by the Ulema, one of the symbols of the Mahdi. would be,that he would turn dried trees into green ones. At that time, theMahdi (AHS) was using a Miswak (a softened stick for cleaning, the teeth). He planted it in the ground. and atonce it turned into agreen plant with leaves. He then told Miyan Salamullah. Themeaning behind this saying was, that driedup hearts would beenlightened by the Mahdi".4. Like PJophet Mohammed (PBUH), he did not have a "Sayah"(Shadow). After seeing this miracle. a number of peopleacknowledged him as the Mahdi (AHS).
9pThe Mahdi Maud5. Anyone who Kissed or shook his hand, would enjoy thefragrance of his body for several days. This was a clear miracle, and a perfectHujjat (proof) of his Mahdiat.9. When the Mahdi approached within forty miles of any city, theresidents would know about his arrival in advance and the newswould spread that Mahdi Maud (AHS)"Mazawas coming. The sound ofMahdi" (this is Mahdi would be heard from allthe trees andstones lying on his way, by pious people,10. Mahdi Maud (AHS) would be able to tell the name or ancestryof a perosn without prior knowledge. He told the names not only ofMalik Bakkhan (RZ) and Miyan Syed Khundmeer (RZ), but atso anumber of other people. Any newcomer meeting him. witnessedthis miracle.11. When he started on his journey to Khurasan, he was told thatfor miles together water would not be available; but, by the grace ofAllah clouds would appear frorn time to time, and there would beheavy rainfall. Throughouthe long journey, there was no scarcityof water. wherever he stopped.13. During the journey, vrrherevercamped at night, a copper wallwas mysteriously erected all around the Daira.
