Parkinson’s ProgramFeatures PanelParkinson’s patients and caregivers gatheredSaturday, February 2nd in DuVal auditoriumto participate in a unique and valuable program.The brainchild <strong>of</strong> renowned landscape architectRichard Carothers, the program was designedaround the most frequent issues posed byregistrants. By Carothers design, nearly everyattendee submitted a question to be addressed bya panel <strong>of</strong> caretakers and people with Parkinson’s.The collaboration between the UA College <strong>of</strong>Medicine’s Medical Neurosciences Program andthe <strong>Arizona</strong> Chapter <strong>of</strong> the American Parkinson’sDisease Association attracted 256 participants.“I wanted to provide some very practicalinformation that would benefit people,” saidCarothers, program chair and Parkinson’s patient.“Those living with the disease and providing carehave the best information about this disease andhow to address issues as they arise.” In additionto covering the topics presented prior to theprogram, the panel members answered questionsfrom the audience.
