Prevention, Providers,Prevention TakesCenter StageIn 2010, the topic of prevention and its key role in healthkept springing up at Marshall. With the passage of healthreform, for one, preventive health screenings and examsare now covered in full, by law. We encourage everyone toverify what this means for you through your health insurancecompany, and start taking advantage of these importantservices.Within Marshall, prevention is also a major focus. Initiativesfocused on preventing fall-related injuries, flu andother infectious diseases, and post-surgical infections wereand continue to be key areas of effort.Digging In, Building UpLast year was one of dramatic, truly earth moving progresson our journey to building our new patient carewing at our Placerville hospital campus. What startedas a cavernous hole in the ground ended the year as aframed structure wrapped in protective white coveringso that interior work could continue during cold wintermonths.
