He also produced a major work onastronomy, known as the Masudic Canon,dedicated to Mahmud's son, Ma'sud.As well as the Elements of <strong>Astrology</strong>, hewrote important books on medicine,geography and physics and translatedPtolemy's Almagest into Sanskrit. He died atGhazna on 13 December 1048, aged 75.45
