SUPPER AND SONGS AT KENT COLLEGEFOR PEMBURY SENIOR CITIZENSON SUNDAY 10th December, Kent College, <strong>Pembury</strong>, opened its doors with a warmwelcome to 70 older residents from <strong>Pembury</strong> for supper and carols at <strong>the</strong> independentgirls’ school in Old Church Road. Many of <strong>the</strong> visitors live alone or are largely house-boundand <strong>the</strong> event gives <strong>the</strong>m an opportunity to experience some of <strong>the</strong> Christmas celebrations andto meet up with old friends.The annual Boarders’ Carol Service is one of <strong>the</strong> highlights of <strong>the</strong> school’s festive events.Students enjoyed chatting with <strong>the</strong> local residents over Christmas tea before entertaining<strong>the</strong>m with carols, accompanied by <strong>the</strong> orchestra, around a huge Christmas tree.
