As an interior designer and an artist I have been given manyopportunities to improve my design skills, artwork, and expand into other areas that I am interested in.I became aware of this internship opportunity through a tour I received at Munson Williams on February18, 2012. As a Utica resident, Munson Williams has always been a part of my life. This internship wouldbe a great opportunity to further my experience in arts administration.In my curriculum at Cazenovia College we have covered various elements of design that would bepertinent to the museum environment, such as lighting, universal design, and materials and finishes.This knowledge has given me a sharpened awareness of efficient space planning.Within the design field I have worked on many group projects which have strengthened my teamworkskills. I have become comfortable working collaboratively as well as independently. I am naturally apeople person and am not shy when it comes to presentations.
