These nodes are either the master site controller, called a BranchNode, orindividual fixture nodes called LeafNodes. These nodes are wired and mounteddirectly into or on top of your existing fixtures. All nodes communicate throughwireless methods to each other and then to the secure off-site server that you canaccess 24/7. After installation and initial programming by Venture’s experts, yourstaff will be trained on how to use the very powerful secure web site for control andreporting. There are no panels or controls to install and no connection to servers orcomputers required.HOW DOES MH LAMPPOWER REDUCTIONWORK?A CWA Magnetic Ballast and pulsestart MH HID lighting circuit uses acalculated capacitance value tooperate the lamp at the peak of lightoutput while maintaining a long life.The LeafNode uses a special splitvalue, or dual capacitor, to achievepower reduction of the lamp. Througha pre-programmed profile uploadedto EACH LeafNode, the LeafNodeselects either part or all values toapply in the circuit to switch from lowto full power. Each light fixture onyour site can be programmed withdifferent timing profiles to providethe maximum lighting for theminimum budget level.BranchNode LeafNode Pulse Start Metal Halide Lamp/BallastRETROFIT AND INSTALLATIONPart of the LeafNut system is also a retrofit of a new EISA 2007 compliant ballast, ignitorand Uni-Form ® lamp combination. The retrofit immediately reduces energy consumptionwhile providing brighter, whiter lighting. For example, a 1000 watt fixture can now be875 watts with 100% light output. Then reduce capacitance to 50% wattage for off-peakhours, and finally shutdown alternating lights for added savings while maintainingsecurity.Installations are very easy with one of our Certified LeafNut Installers. Easily accessiblefrom the secure URL web site, you will be able to view, print or download powerconsumption information down to the INDIVIDUAL fixture. Grouping of lights willallow group power reports as well as other group functions, such as instant “All-ON”and pattern lighting. The Interactive Monitor (IM) allows for real-timecommunications with all lighting fixtures and LeafNodes.
