23-24 -Wharton Freedom Festival/Tee Pee Motel http://www.teepeemotel.net/ in<br />
Wharton, Texas. Some attend the car show at the Freedom Festival, while others just go straight to<br />
the Tee Pee's. It's as close to time travel as you'll get. It's like being back in 1955 again. Everybody<br />
brings something to grill, and something else to share. Rumor has it that there will be homemade<br />
peach ice cream again this year. All the TEE PEE's have new carpet and paint, refrigerator's,<br />
microwaves, and internet connections. There are barbecue grill between each TEE PEE. There<br />
are 10 Tee Pee's. Yes, it's hot in June, but we all gather under the shade of the lone tree and as<br />
soon as the sun goes down it gets cool and comfortable. There is always a breeze! No kidding!<br />

going because the place does FILL UP. For new members or those who haven’t yet taken our<br />
annual trip to Fredericksburg, it’s a blast. We arrive around 3 in the afternoon on Friday and relax<br />
before dinner. We usually scatter for dinner. After breakfast we take day trips around the area or<br />
go shopping in town. Saturday night most of us take in a show at the Rockbox Theater. Sunday,<br />
it’s on the road after breakfast. It’s always a fun weekend.<br />
