Electrical and ElectronicsEngineering (ELE) team lead by CaptainParmesh Kr. Choudhary won one of the mostexciting final match, where Sanchal Dash ofELE was declared the Man of the Matchwith his consistent performance throughoutthe tournament. Before that, in semifinalmatch between <strong>NIST</strong> & ELE, Mr. Vinaykumar Das scored 84 not out with the help of8 six & 6 four in just 22 balls. The matchwas decided on last ball. Final match wasplayed between IT & ELE, where ELEmanaged a total score of 113 runs, by thesplendid performance by Sanchal Das,scoring 36 from 30 balls. IT was almostclose to it and thrilling match came to an endwhere ELE won the match by 4 runs. Ourrespectable Director Mr. Sangram Mudaliwas present in the final match and distributedthe prizes to Winners, Runners-Up and toMan of the Match. All the matches wereconducted by our faculty & staff members,Mr. Jagannath Mohanty, Mr. Pallab Kar, Mr.Vinay Kumar Das and Mr. Ashok Sahoo.<strong>Vol</strong>ley Ball Coaching Camp<strong>Vol</strong>ley Ball coaching camp was organizedbetween 2 nd to 31 st August, <strong>2005</strong> in ourcollege. Around <strong>15</strong> students participated inthe camp. The aim of the coaching camp isto build a volley Ball team for upcomingBPUT tournament. All the students areperforming well. Another coaching campwill be organised soon. Mr. Vaskar Mishraof BU trained the students for 25 days.Chess Tournament - <strong>2005</strong><strong>NIST</strong> organised the Inter College ChessTournament – <strong>2005</strong> of BerhampurUniversity. The tournament was held on<strong>Sept</strong>ember 1-2, <strong>2005</strong> at <strong>NIST</strong>. Around <strong>15</strong>different colleges participated in thistournament. In the final, best five studentsN I S T e – N E W Swere selected for participating in furtherinter-University tournaments, which will beplayed at Vellore, Kerala. Our Dean Dr. AjitKumar Panda inaugurated the tournamentand distributed the prizes to the winners. Thetournament was conducted by our facultymembers Dr. Arun. Ku. Padhy, Mr. PallabKar, Mr. Jagannath Mohanty, Mr. MeenakhiPrasad Mishra and Mr. Amar Bikram Sahoo.The best five Students of the tournament areP. Congratulation & Bestwishes to all for representing BerhampurUniversity in the inter-UniversityTournament at Vellore, Kerala.<strong>NIST</strong> Faculty attend a Seminar by ANSYS<strong>NIST</strong> Faculty Mr Sagar Sikdar attended aSeminar on ANSYS Customer upgradationheld at Hotel ITC, Sonarbangla on August 3,<strong>2005</strong>. The seminar was organised andpresented by ANSYS India.<strong>NIST</strong>’s blood donation camp awardedIndian Red Cross Society, Orissa StateBranch, Bhubaneswar awarded <strong>NIST</strong> fordonating 2 nd highest units of blood onvoluntary basis among the EducationalInstitution for the year 2003-2004. Prizedistribution ceremony was held at IDCOLHouse, Auditorium, Bhubaneshwar.
