Not to mention Ijust replaced my 2 nd set of rear tires with some used 265/35R19 Pilot Sport2s. You’re probably thinking, “I’m not surprised Nick, considering howYOU drive.” Let’s just say that going back to a 35 series sidewall is muchbetter than a 30 series with my previous set of 265/30R19s. When I had the265/30/19s, the rear end of the vehicle seemed to want to rotate or stepouteasier than when I had the 265/35/19s in the rear. It became apparentto me that the E90 M3 is very sensitive to this and changed the behavior ofthe car. You could say that I made an excuse to “get rid” of my current setof tires to go back to a 265/35R19.I’m excited to announce a new dealership has opened for the Temeculaarea. I was contacted by the legendary Boris Said who has recentlyopened a brand new dealership in Murrieta. A few Saturdays ago, VicePresident Kimberly Wright and I took a trip up to BMW of Murrieta. Borisgreeted Kim and I and took us on a tour of the dealership. The dealershipwas gorgeous and the staff was very friendly. Every picture on the wall wasof Boris in a racecar, driving at the limit. Before I knew it, Kim and I were inan office with pictures, trophies, autographed pictures and Boris himselftalking about racing and BMWs. Did you know Boris hadn’t consideredracing until his early twenties?!?! It was great experience and blessingall rolled into one. I’m excited for future participation from Boris andBMW of Murrieta. We are planning an introduction and BBQ sometime inNovember.September is going to be filled some racing. We have Autocross at theQ on Saturday September 10 th . If you’re into the vintage scene, the AnnualCoronado Speed Festival is on the weekend of Saturday September 25 th .This is a great event for the older generation of cars and there is alwaysgood racing and good food to keep you excited! The club is planning onhaving a BMW corral in the bleacher parking area. If you’re interested incoming out, email speedfest@sdbmwcca.comOn October 23 rd we are having a Wine Tasting & Lunch Tour at ShadowMountain Vineyards. Lunch will begin promptly at 12:00pm (so don’t belate) and will end sometime around 3:00pm.
