Basic Manual OrganizationThis manual is organized in three ways: Illustration Number, Groupings by Sections andAlphabetical.Illustration Number:Each illustration has it own illustration number. For example, the illustration for Brake & ClutchPedals is illustration number “P-4472” and the illustration for the Brake Cylinder Details is “P-2990”. The pages of this book are arranged in illustration number order. Therefore, illustration4473 would follow 2990.Note: Illustrations are in numerical, not alphabetical order.Groupings by Sections:The grouping of diagrams by “section”is similar to how the Ford MotorCompany originally organized itsMaster Parts and Accessories Catalogwhich contained both illustrations andpart numbers to identify parts. Forexample, Section 20 – Brakes groupsmost brake related parts for thisvehicle.This manual uses bookmarks tofollows that same organization anduses the same terms Ford used toidentify the diagrams. In addition, thediagram number has been added to theend of the description. For example,“Disc Brake System 4470” is thebasic name of the diagram and thediagram number is 4470.
