• Eosinophils– nucleus of eosinophils ,although similar to that of neutrophil,tends tobe less dense and have fewer lobes.– In pig,the nucleus commonly oval/kidney-shaped rather thansegmented.– C-shaped,mononucleated nuclei commonly in ruminants.– Pig,sheep and goat : their granules are small,round to oval &numerous,often distorting the cell membrane.• Basophils– only a small percentages (0.5-3%) of leucocytes of demstic mammalsare basophils.– Basophils are not often found in <strong>blood</strong> smear.– In pig the granules are a dumbbell or coccoid shape.
