Children’s Theatre Camp – July 6-17<br />

Th eatre and kids go together like peanut butter and jelly. Kids are naturally<br />

creative, and the aim of this camp is to nurture these natural talents and<br />

allow them to grow. Studying the art and craft of theatre off ers opportunities<br />

to gain a love of the arts as well as valuable life skills. While creating a full<br />

production, participants will also learn to work as a team and build language<br />

and communication skills, self-confi dence, and respect. All participants will<br />

have a part in the production, help build the set and design the costumes.<br />

Th is is a hands-on, full-participation, fun-fi lled two-week session of theatre<br />

magic! No previous experience is necessary; every child is a natural star!<br />

Th is exciting opportunity is open to all children in the 3rd through 9th<br />

grades; tuition is $250 and will provide each participant with a theatre camp<br />

T-shirt and snacks. Places are limited, and registration is on a fi rst-come<br />

fi rst-served basis: the deadline for registration is June 26. For more information<br />

Rea� rmation of Accreditation<br />

The Associate Degree Board of Commissioners voted to grant reaffirmation<br />

of accreditation to <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />

for its Accounting, AST, IST, management, marketing and BAUD<br />

courses.<br />

and Jeff Strom. Th e Business<br />

the 2009 Annual Conference<br />
